SCREENING

A quick 15 minute observation of your child’s concerns. Think about it as a “snapshot” of your child’s skills that can assist in deciding whether a full thorough evaluation is necessary. This can be done through a phone consultation/conversation about your concerns or a physical observation in a natural environment.

EVALUATION

A full evaluation gives a more detailed look into your child’s skills and abilities and can compare their performance as compared to same aged peers. They consist of a full look into medical history and developmental history as well as assessing current skills based on needs and concerns decided on through the initial consultation/screening. Standardized testing tools and informal assessments are selected based on the child’s age, needs, and abilities. An evaluation can confirm or rule out diagnoses and include a full report that outlines detailed skills and abilities related to the area being tested. Therapy service recommendations or parent resources are then provided accordingly.

TREATMENT

Treatment sessions are provided directly in client’s home, private school/daycare, or on teletherapy. Treatment can vary between 45-60 minute sessions depending on client needs. Frequency is dependent on evaluation results, clinician expertise and parent request. Treatment can consist of one-on-one sessions, teacher/caregiver collaboration training or group sessions. Treatment is goal-based following the evaluation but can be adjusted per parent and caregiver goals.

Benefits to Private Services

PAYMENT

Payment is due at the time services are rendered and may be made via cash, debit/credit card through secure HIPPA-compliant payment. We additionally accept payment through The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA), formerly known as The Gardiner Scholarship.

We currently do not offer services through commercial insurances in order to prioritize personal care and direct client relationships. Doing this, allows us the freedom to tailor the services to meet the unique needs of each child, without the constraints and limitations that insurance regulations often place on providers.

While we do not accept insurance at this time, we are able to provide you with a superbill (an itemized document that details the list of services provided). A document like this allows you to bill your insurance company directly which helps you get reimbursed for service. Please note that while we will provide you with this paperwork, it is your responsibility to handle communication and submission with the insurance company.
